Swiped shamelessly in a bored hour from a probably now stale meme (I always was late in catching these things) over at troubled diva, my frequent surroundings when at home.

- Webcam. Since I got the flatscreen monitor, the cam’s perched precariously on top of it. If I type particularly animatedly, it wobbles and falls off. Generally it faces the wall. I’m paranoid like that.
- iPod mini. Blue. It’s about 7 months old, and has around 800 songs on it. One of my favourite gadgets.
- Curtains. They’re always closed. Some might say that makes me a recluse, which is probably true, but they also keep the glare off my screen.
- A print out of the itinerary for my forthcoming trip to America.
- Photo printer. Brand new, full colour, very nice.
- Phones. One cordless, one mobile.
- Lemsip max capsules. Helped me get over the mild cold I had last week.
- Cordless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard has a lot of hot keys that you can program to do things like play music or open folders. I just use the mouse. Not all funky time saving ideas are actually that useful.
- DVDs. Roughly half of my collection. The others live to the side, or downstairs by the DVD player because I haven’t stored them away. What you can’t see in this picture are the masses of videos (approx 120 of them) on the bookshelves to the right.
- Music CDs. All the songs from them that I want to listen to are now burned onto my iPod.
- Hoodie. Birthday present. I live in it when I’m relaxing at home.
- Computer. Almost brand new, bought through the Home Computer Initiative at work a couple of months ago. It’s teeny, and very cute.
- Laser printer. Mono. Companion to the colour photo printer.
- Chair. Very comfortable, and a vast, vast improvement on the wooden stool I used prior to getting this.
The rest of the room (which isn’t much, as it’s just a study/boxroom) is taken up by books and things I should probably throw out, like boxes and bits of paper. I’ll probably get round to it eventually, but the room is very much a me place, and I guess you could charitably call it ‘lived in’.
