A news story on the Beeb website tells how a 1984 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit has been taken to the wreckers yard for possible crushing, after languishing unclaimed in a car park for what’s thought to have been three years.

Leaving aside the sacrilege of crushing a Rolls Royce, the main source of my amazement is that a car as undeniably gorgeous as that could remain in a car park, under a block of flats, in Birmingham, for three years, and not be touched.
